Best 100 - award360° 2025
This project was included in the Best 100 of award 360°. For the building signage and wayfinding system across the various facilities of the Kössen Education Center, the designers of Atelier Andrea Gassner “stitched” a signage concept with the cross-stitch – a craft technique with a deep regional tradition. To make the semantics and playfulness of this ornament visually tangible, they developed it further into a typographic system.
DDC podcast with Georg - Spaces of Jazz
She has achieved a remarkable standing between architecture, design, industry, and public institutions – one that is truly unmatched. Yet she does not present herself as a design star; perhaps she appears more like a “Fuddist of the Ensemble Modern". Or perhaps more like a conductor, for in recent years she has led her studio for communication, space, and design to great success.
Lecture at Weissraum Innsbruck
The Andrea Gassner studio from Vorarlberg has broadened the concept of “graphic design” into a wide field of design and works very successfully at the intersection of communication, space, and form.
Modulor Special Edition DRINNEN – #8 – Herbst 2025
Between the lines is where the true substance begins. Where a space tells more than one sees at first glance; where wood is suddenly folded into origami, where glass changes the text as you walk by, and where a retirement center creates orientation with just two words: mountain and lake. Atelier Andrea Gassner doesn’t build signposts — they build resonance spaces: places that can be read, heard, and sometimes even touched. Anyone who embraces this discovers that the invisible can speak more loudly than any signal.
“Boltshauser Architects – Radical Materiality” from November 14, 2025 to January 15, 2026 at the ArchitekturSalon in Hamburg.
The building material clay is a central starting point for the architectural understanding of Boltshauser Architekten. This results in a body of work that speaks a resistant language and, through a deliberate reduction of means, opposes the conventional. The exhibition presents the diverse ways in which this fundamental material is used — from the installation-like process of clay preparation to models of completed buildings — and combines them with sketches by Roger Boltshauser as well as images and original photographs by various artists such as Daniel Schwartz, Heidi Bucher, Arnulf Rainer, Sandro Livio Straube, and Philip Heckhausen.

Innovation grows
Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective to turn the ordinary into something special. – We are thrilled to have received the European Design Award Gold for the Familienzentrum allesamt in Nenzing. We were honored for the interactive signage designed for children. Many thanks to our client, the Municipality of Nenzing, and to architect Christian Schmölz.
